Hi - has anyone else had pain at the back of the head? I wake quite often with bad headaches during the night and recently, the left side 'bump' low down at the back of my head is tender to touch and bigger than its right side twin. Don't know if there is a connection here or if I end up blaming everything on RA! xx Ailsa

Well, RA is a connective tissue disease, so it possibly could be.

Have you considered seeing you doctor?

That (back of the head pain) is where my RA journey started over 5 years ago! Yes, you need to check with your GP.

I find that choosing my pillow carefully is very helpful. I go for one that will let me keep my neck in line with my back i.e. not cocked to one side. A malleable feather pillow is best for me, even better than the orthopaedic pillow I tried.

Hexham - Northumberland - Loads of spectacular walks - all I need now are the joints to go with them! :)

Yes I also have this. Sometimes just one side other times both. I thought something else was wrong with me!

I get recurring headaches there too. The GP said it originated in the neck. Hope this helps.
